Queue

In general:

A queue in the dream is a tip to the fact that a ‘slippery’ person or situation appears in any form. Maybe it concerns a situation in which one cannot trust to a person, – or around a person whom the dreaming knows and cannot hold under control. Queue is often interpreted as a phallic symbol which embodies sexual needs, – besides, can be indicated, – that these desires vergeistert were (sublimated) for which above all a crown on the head of the queue speaks. In general she stands for desires, instincts and feelings from the unconscious which reached the consciousness and determined the personal development. The old symbol of the queue should be analysed always thoroughly by individual associations, then one wins from it important insights into own personality.

Psychologically:

This archetypal sign points after C.G.Jung to something significant in the unconscious, – it can be endangering and welfare-bringing. Since the expulsion from the paradise it is met the queue with fear. As a being placing on puzzling Wise hostility she will open to the bearer of the deepest soul forces full of energy which are, however, only too often in the conflict so in good or bad direction from the unconscious. A queue who appears from the darkness means the fear, a carefully protected secret can be snatched from us. Also she can appear seductress in man’s dreams and then embodies often a cold, calculating woman. With it she also has a warning function. See Freud saw a typical phallic symbol in her. This meaning can have the queue absolutely, above all in the dreams of young people. She symbolises the instinctive propelling nature of the person. Because queues deal with sexuality, they point to unsolved problems in this area or to the fear of sexual activity. Queues belong in the female dream world like stars to the sky. Queue dreams have younger girls more often than ripe women because they are afraid still of the male gender strength. During later years the queue can point to the fear of a competitor. The symbol appears in the dream if the dreaming is ready to deal with complete spiritual selffrugality. It is a symbol of the self-being renewed life, but also the piercing knowledge and the dragon.
