1. mildew?

   I dreamed that I was cleaning something — i think it was meant for cooking, or making tea, or something along those lines, it was wooden. I cleaned it with more detail than ever before. I took apart the wooden utensil piece by piece. When I got to one piece in particular I found mildew on it. I cleaned it off. I heard (either my mother or grandmother’s voice) the voice of an elderly woman saying “ahhh, you see? You see why it’s so important to clean well?”
